Abstract
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is one of the most difficult cancers to treat, but advances in immunotherapy have brought new hope to patients. While traditional imaging tools like Computed Tomography (CT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans are used to guide treatment, there is growing curiosity about whether mammography - a standard breast cancer screening tool - might also have a role to play. In rare cases, mammography has helped detect breast metastases from NSCLC or changes linked to immune-related side effects. Emerging technologies like AI and radiomics also assist researchers in spotting mammography imaging patterns that could hint at how a tumour might respond to immunotherapy.
