Abstract

The high virulence, significant mortality and morbidity and non-specific mode of presentation of Lassa fever (LF) has made it a disease of public health significance not just at the community level but also at an international level. Since the first reported outbreak, it is well documented that LF kills a disproportionate number of health workers involved in the management and care of patients in hospital settings. This study was carried out to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of LF prevention among health care providers in ABUTH, Zaria.
